DPSC Limited is basically a Distribution Company and it has a well spread out distribution network to cater the needs of its consumers. Eastern Coalfields Limited is the single largest consumer of the Company constituting 60% of the load of the Company. 25% load by WBSEB who buy powers at 11 kV and then distribute power to commercial and domestic consumers in our area and balance 15% of the industrial load consists of mainly of essential loads like hospitals, nursing homes, pumping stations, TV & Radio Stations etc and some industrial loads. The number of consumers has been on increasing trend with the passage of time.

  • Class A - Industrial or Commercial consumers having demand of 50 kVA and above and takes power in HT, this category has two-part tariff and the consumer is supplied with a HT switch gear.
  • Class B - Consumers having load less than 50 kVA come under this category and they have a single part tariff.
  • Class C - Public utility, Hospital, Nursing Homes, TV & Radio Stations etc.
